Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026 · Version 1.1
This policy explains how billing works for your Ask2Do subscription, how to cancel, and when a refund applies. It supplements our Terms of Service (see §4 Fees and §5 Cancellation and refunds) and, where they differ, the Terms govern.
1. How billing works
Ask2Do is a monthly subscription. Fees are charged on the day you subscribe and auto-renew every month until you cancel. Pricing and supported currencies are shown at ask2do.com/pricing and at checkout.
Payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as our Merchant of Record and is the seller of record for your subscription. Polar handles billing, invoicing, refunds and chargebacks, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax) on our behalf.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel any time from /settings or through the billing portal linked from your Billing & usage page. When you cancel:
- Your subscription stays active until the end of the current paid period — you keep access to everything you paid for.
- You are not charged for any period after cancellation. There are no cancellation fees and no lock-in.
- We do not prorate or refund partial months by default. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund time already billed.
3. When you can get a refund
Beyond the protections your local consumer law requires, you can request a refund if any of the following applies:
- You were charged twice, or billed a duplicate amount, for the same subscription period.
- You were billed in error on our side (for example, an incorrect amount or a charge after a confirmed cancellation).
- A technical problem on our side prevented your tenant from being provisioned, so you could not use the service you paid for.
EU consumers. If you are an EU consumer exercising the 14-day withdrawal right under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase by emailing support@ask2do.com.
4. When a refund does not apply
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Partial months, unused time, or a change of mind after a renewal, beyond the protections required by your local consumer law.
- Accidental renewals of a subscription you did not cancel in time — though we review these case by case; email us.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@ask2do.com from the address on your account, with a short description of the issue and, where relevant, the invoice or charge date. We respond within a few business days.
Approved refunds are processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record, and returned to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you. Where the law grants you stronger rights, those rights prevail.
